Julia Rashid

    Studying within the Modern Languages department has been an enriching and transformative experience. From the very first Hispanic Studies course I took, I was welcomed into a vibrant community passionate about language and culture. ​

   One of the highlights of my experience was the time I spent studying abroad in Cusco, Peru over the summer of 2022. Applying concepts that I learned in the classroom while learning from firsthand experience proved to be an invaluable opportunity. Returning from this program, I have carried my knowledge forward in my research in the department.​

   My experience in the Hispanic Studies program has undoubtedly left a profound impact on my academic and personal journey, and for that, I am grateful. ​

   Moving forward, I will be working as a research assistant in a neuroscience lab for the next couple years before applying to neuroscience PhD programs.
