Hispanic Studies & Government
Before coming to William & Mary, I knew I wanted to become involved in the Hispanic Studies Department. Growing up in an Argentine family that rarely speaks Spanish at home, I wanted the chance to better understand the language and culture I grew up around. However, I never imagined becoming a Hispanic Studies major. During my time at William & Mary, some of my favorite experiences have been through Hispanic Studies, including two amazing study abroad trips: walking the Camino de Santiago and spending the Spring and Summer of my Junior year in La Plata Argentina. I really enjoyed getting to know the faculty and the close-knit community of students that make up this department, especially those in my Coll 400 classes. I am really grateful for the opportunities this department offered me, and I look forward to seeing where the skills I learned here will take me next.
