Sapana Satyal

      My name is Sapana Satyal, and I am a senior from Fairfax, Virginia majoring in Finance and German Studies. Some of my favorite memories from the language department include being a TA for German 201 and 202, living in German house/being the captain of German house when we couldn’t have international fellows, and writing for die Zeitung. Additionally, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Berlin for a whole semester and got to truly experience German culture and practice my language skills while being able to take very advanced language courses that I wouldn’t be able to take here. Some of the best friendship and connections I've made have been through the German program and the professors are all amazing and so supportive. After graduation I will be working as an analyst at Bank of America and possibly going into international finance. I am so grateful to the German program and am thankful that I had the opportunity to major.
