Sophia Caldarone

    Hello, my name is Sophia Caldarone and I will be graduating in the spring with a Kinesiology and Chinese Studies double major.  Becoming a Chinese Studies major has been the best decision I've made during my time here at W&M.  I initially came to improve my Chinese language abilities, but through the teaching and guidance of the wonderful professors in the program, I've gained so much more understanding of not only Chinese history and culture but my identity, as someone who identifies as half Chinese.  During my time in the department, I was able to TA for CHIN 101 and CHIN 102 and be part of the Modern Languages Diversity and Inclusivity Committee.  After graduation, I am taking a gap year working as a surgical assistant before attending medical school.
