Background
Mark Deming teaches courses on Latin American Politics, Political Regimes and Regime Transitions, Authoritarian Legacies, Comparative Politics, and Research Design.
Before joining William & Mary, Mark completed his PhD at the University of Chicago. He also holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Chicago. His research examines how former dictators and their inner circles often continue to exert political and economic influence after stepping down.
