Bio

Dr. Ravynn K. Stringfield is a writer, editor, and artist from Suffolk, Virginia. She is the author of two traditionally published young adult novels, Love in 280 Characters or Less (Feiwel & Friends, 2025) and Love Requires Chocolate (Joy Revolution, 2024). Stringfield holds a PhD in American Studies from William & Mary, where her dissertation project focused on Black women and girls in fantasy new media narratives. Her academic work, short fiction and creative nonfiction have been published in a variety of venues, including Digital Humanities Quarterly, midnight & indigo, Catapult, ZORA, and Shondaland. She is currently an editor at midnight & indigo magazine.
