Congratulations to Alan Braddock, Ralph H. Wark Associate Professor of Art History & American Studies

Receiving the CCEE (Commonwealth Center for Energy and Environment) grant for interdisciplinary environmental projects, Professor Braddock will be collaborating with a biochemist at VIMS (Bongkeun Song) and a GIS expert at the Keck Lab (Tim Russell) on a project called "Mapping Virginia CAFOs," the purpose of which is to explore various techniques in the arts and sciences for visualizing the environmental effects of factory farming in Virginia, with a view to informing the public about the real costs of meat production.

Congratulations to Susan Webster, Jane W. Mahoney Professor of Art and Art History and American Studies

Professor Webster has received a Fulbright Specialist Award that will take her to Bogotá, Colombia, for the month of September, where she will serve as a consultant and collaborate with the Museo de Arte Colonial on the identification and technical evaluation of their collection, assist with developing exhibitions and public outreach programs, and present a paper at their international symposium.
