Family Resources
If you are an international student or scholar whose family is living with you in the United States, ISSP has resources to help you navigate living in the U.S., take care of your children, and form community with other international community members at W&M.
Visas for Family Members
For information about visas to bring your family members to the U.S., please see our F-2 and J-2 Dependent Visas webpage.
International Family Network (IFN)
We encourage you to get connected with the International Family Network (IFN), which provides support to W&M's international community. Many IFN members have been through the experience of leaving their home countries and overcoming the challenges of being in a new place. Members enjoy helping one another in creating a new life in Williamsburg by providing information about housing, child care, local activities, volunteering opportunities, and many other topics. For more information, please contact Mona Starman.

Other Campus Opportunities
As a member of the W&M international community, one of the best ways to begin to explore life in the United States is by becoming involved locally and on campus. We celebrate the rich diversity of the W&M community through international arts and culture events, speaker series, film festivals and symposia.
- Many W&M Events are open to public
- VIMS Campus events
- The Reves Digest is a weekly email that keeps the W&M and local community updated on internationally focused events and announcements. It is emailed each Monday of the undergraduate academic year.
- VIMS Scholars: VIMS has very active email lists (VIMS misc and VIMS business). Talk to your faculty host, if you are not subscribed. You will need to do the VIMS check-in process, and Chris Palmer from VIMS Information Technology and Network Services will add you to the lists.
