The University Registrar’s office supports the education of students at William & Mary, protects the integrity of the William & Mary degree, and ensures consistent application of academic rules and regulations as set forth by the faculty, the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United States government.
Our essential responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, providing access to student records in compliance with the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, and supporting the university’s academic programs by gathering, maintaining and distributing information. Central to our effectiveness is a commitment to objectivity and equity, with a clear obligation to communicate information accurately and effectively.
