Change Your Password

William & Mary Password (W&M Username)

The requirements for the William & Mary password have recently been updated. The new requirements are:

• The password must be at least 15 characters in length.
• Requiring a mix of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and symbols is NOT required.
• Annual password changes are not required.

To help remember your password we recommend you use a passphrase. A passphrase is a long, memorable password made from multiple words or a sentence. Passphrases are easier to remember and much harder to crack than short, complex passwords.

Example passphrases:

• river library winter
• MyHistoryClassStartsAtNine
• blue-train-under-open-sky

To change your password you can now go to aka.ms/security-info and click on "Change Password". If you've forgotten your password you can use the Password Recovery Process.
