Alumni Venture Connections

Connect. Share. Support.

William & Mary alumni share a powerful bond rooted in curiosity, purpose, and action. Our Alumni Venture Connections program empowers W&M founders and alumni supporters to connect, share insights, and explore early-stage venture opportunities in an informal, relationship-driven setting.

How It Works

  1. Apply and opt in. Founders apply to share their venture, and alumni supporters sign up to receive invitations.
  2. Get matched and invited. The Hub team reviews applications to ensure authenticity and alignment with our community values.
  3. Attend and connect. Join small-group Zoom sessions, hear founder stories, ask questions, and make meaningful connections.
  4. Follow up as you choose. Alumni and founders are encouraged to continue conversations directly if there is mutual interest.

Program Guidelines & Expectations

We believe in creating a supportive, respectful environment rooted in trust, integrity, and openness. By participating, all founders and alumni agree to:

  • Respect the confidentiality and privacy of any shared venture details.
  • Engage with curiosity, integrity, and an open mind.
  • Uphold the ethical principles outlined in William & Mary’s Code of Ethics and the Hub’s Ethics guidelines.
  • Act as good stewards of the community by maintaining the highest standards of honesty, transparency, and respect in all interactions.
    • Additional Note on Ethics:
      • Compliance with William & Mary’s ethics policies is a core expectation. As a participant, you acknowledge that you benefit from a community larger than yourself and agree to be a responsible steward of its resources and trust. Violations of these standards — including, but not limited to, plagiarism, misrepresentation, conflicts of interest, or breaches of confidentiality — may result in removal from this program and broader university disciplinary action.

Alumni supporters are solely responsible for their own evaluation of ventures and for making independent decisions about whether to provide mentorship, advice, or potential investment.
