How to Apply

Proposals Accepted on a Rolling Basis

Submitting Your Application Online

Using the online application system, faculty will be able to submit all relevant proposal details in one place. Once you begin, you will be able to save your work and return to it at any time. We strongly encourage you to have a conversation with your Department Chair to let him/her know of your plans to apply to teach in the Program.

The online application consists of four major parts:
  1. Personal Information: Complete a personal info section, upload a C.V. and attach Teaching Evaluation Summary Sheets.
  2. Proposed Topic and Course Details: Describe your overall theme, the two courses you plan to teach, and upload sample syllabi.
  3. Internship Ideas and Marketing: List potential internship sites that match your theme and describe your internship coursework; list faculty/students to whom you could directly market your semester.   Please note: You do not have to research which organizations actually take interns, or which institutions would be willing to work with us - simply state the names of sites that would match your theme.
  4. Department Chair and Dean Approval: Once you complete your proposal, a link will be sent to your department chair so that he/she may approve your absence while teaching in the Program.  Please note: We encourage you to speak with your Department Chair prior to submitting your proposal. After the chair signs off, the appropriate dean will also be given the opportunity to approve the appointment.

Applying for Multiple Semesters

If you are interested in teaching more than one semester, please submit proposals for distinctly different themes.
