Design & Construction Manual (DCM)

The William & Mary Design and Construction Manual (DCM) contains policy, procedures and standards that must be followed in the execution of all planning, design, and construction projects. The 2025 edition of the DCM was initially released in September 2025 and two subsequent revisions have been published: Revision 1 on May 18, 2026 and Revision 2 on October 26, 2026. DCM v 3.2 is current and in effect for all projects regardless of campus/location, funding source, procurement method or shop overseeing the work.

The DCM is available both as a single pdf file and as individual chapters and appendix documents below. Supplements (DCM Checklists) are not included in the single pdf file and are separately linked below. Although the DCM is provided as separate chapters for convenience and ease-of-use, the entirety of the manual is to be understood and adhered to for all projects.
