PRS Team Puts Out Another Impressive Product

Last Friday Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) released a new infrastructure report prepared by W&M TJPPP students Sarah Beason, Irina Calos, and Meghan Stubblebine.  Their story/press statement is linked here.

The report is a comprehensive analysis of state transportation infrastructure funding and financing mechanisms.  Beyond just analyzing the various mechanisms, the PRS team also conducted a thorough census and created a chart showing which states are using which tools.  AED sponsored this report both to help lawmakers on Capitol Hill understand the menu options available as they write a new highway bill and to help local transportation advocates improve state programs.

AED distributed the report to inside the Beltway media (you may have seen coverage in Politico Pro Transportation) and to every congressional office.  They also will be distributing it to governors and transportation leaders in state legislatures.

This is the third WM TJPPP PRS project AED has sponsored.  They have been consistently impressed by the high-quality products they’ve received and by the students’ professionalism.  That’s no accident: It’s because we have a great program and faculty churning out top-notch public policy specialists.  If your organization has research needs, you should consider sponsoring a PRS project.
