About

Welcome to the Neuroscience Program!

Neuroscience at the College of William & Mary is one of the largest interdisciplinary majors on campus. The study of the brain is a challenging area, requiring varied approaches. Students in our program take a number of courses in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Health Sciences, and Psychological Sciences. The prerequisite and required courses are designed to provide a strong foundation for upper-division coursework in two broad categories within neuroscience: behavioral neuroscience and cell/systems neuroscience. We are fortunate to have an excellent group of faculty members from six departments who are committed to supporting this program. Students are also encouraged to pursue research opportunities with faculty members.

I thank you for your interest in our program, and encourage you to explore this website to learn more about the program in Neuroscience. If you are not a student but wish to become involved with the program or provide support for our students in Neuroscience, please check out our opportunities for private giving.

 Sincerely,

 Catherine Forestell, Ph.D.
Director, Neuroscience Program
