Fourth Annual W&M Computer Science T-shirt Design Contest

Elizabeth Dabbs receiving the prize from Dr. Lewis, Department Chair

The Computer Science Department T-Shirt design contest is now well established as an annual event. Now in its fourth year, the popular contest received multiple design submissions from which five were selected by a preliminary judging committee to be put on the ballot. All members of the CS department including declared CS majors and minors, CS graduate students, CS faculty and staff were given an opportunity to vote online.

When the votes were tallied, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Dabbs’ t-shirt design was chosen as the winner of the fourth annual W&M Computer Science T-shirt Contest. For her winning design, Lizzie will receive a prize of $480. The contest was open to teams consisting of one or more currently enrolled W&M undergraduates, of which at least one had to be a declared computer science major or minor. Only original graphic designs were accepted in the competition. The winning T-shirt was announced and distributed at the CS Career Night on October 24. Kudos to all the participants for their creativity, which included no small number of inside jokes!
