Prominent Academic Hubs

From small seminar rooms and modern modular studios to high-tech lecture halls and fully equipped labs, there are dozens of learning environments at W&M. With a small student to faculty ratio, W&M has a well-earned reputation for delivering a highly personalized education.

Sadler Center

Student Life Neighborhood

W&M’s student life neighborhood is a hub of campus activity. The area includes the Sadler Center, wellness center and career center. On Sadler Terrace, you’ll find students enjoying a meal at the picnic tables, studying in Lodge 2 or stopping to chat with friends.

Hearth

Hearth: Memorial to the Enslaved

One of W&M’s core values is belonging. The university erected Hearth: Memorial to the Enslaved as a distinguished landmark of inclusion and a local hub for community building. This memorial resembles a fireplace and features the names of people who are known to have been enslaved by the university. It was a key priority of The Lemon Project: A Journey of Reconciliation, which was established to research and publicly report on the university’s role in slavery.

Office of Undergraduate Admission

The admission office is open most weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office hosts a variety of visit opportunities and can help answer your questions about the W&M experience and the application process. Various application options are available to incoming first-year or transfer students. We look forward to sharing more of our story with you and learning about yours.
