Full Description
The following email was sent to all W&M employees on July 3, 2025.Dear W&M employees,
This is an important reminder regarding the first timesheet submission in Workday and guidance on submitting retroactive absences for the June 10-24 pay period.
Timesheet Submission for Hourly and Non-Exempt Employees for June 25-July 9
-
Submission Deadline: Timesheets for the June 25 – July 9 pay period are due in Workday by July 9 at 6:00pm.
-
Supervisor Approval: Supervisors must review and approve submitted timesheets by July 10 at 10:00am.
-
Who Must Submit: All hourly and non-exempt employees are required to submit their time. (Exempt employees do not submit hours worked in Workday.)
-
Please refer to the Enter My Time job aid and/or microlearning video for step-by-step instructions on entering time.
-
Requesting absence is different than entering your time. If you took any absences (time off) during the June 25 – July 9 pay period, please submit your absence request for approval by your supervisor. Once it’s approved, the absence will automatically be added to your timesheet.
Guidance for Exempt Employees for June 25-July 9 Pay Period
-
Exempt employees do not need to submit time in Workday.
-
If you took any absences during the June 25 – July 9 pay period, please submit your absence request for approval by your supervisor.
Guidance for entering Retroactive Absences for Salaried Exempt and Non-Exempt
-
As communicated in June, all salaried employees must enter any retroactive time off taken during the June 10-24 pay period in Workday. This is done the same way as requesting upcoming absences.
-
Submission Deadline: The last day to add retroactive leave for the June 10-24 pay period is July 15.
-
Additional guidance for retroactive additional or overtime hours worked for non-FAMIS non-exempt employees will be forthcoming to those who may have been impacted.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation as we transition to Workday. Please ensure you meet the deadlines above to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
Best regards,
