The Faculty Assembly of William & Mary is the elected faculty body that regularly advises the President and the Provost on matters affecting the welfare of the university and that ensures effective faculty participation in the governance of the university as a whole.
The Assembly represents the five faculties of the university: Arts & Sciences, Business, Education, Law, and Marine Science, and seven constituencies: Arts & Sciences Areas I, II, and III, and Business, Education, Law, and Marine Science.
The Assembly has twenty-one voting members: four from each of the three Areas, two from each of the professional schools, and the faculty representative to the Board of Visitors. An non-voting NTE member will be added if all of the elected members are all tenure-eligible.
For the 2021-2022 academic year, meetings will be a mix of in person and by Zoom with details forthcoming. They will take place on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5:00 pm on September 28, October 26, November 30, December 21, January 25, February 22, March 22, April 26, and May 10.
The executive committee will meet on September 14, October 7, November 16, December 9, January 11, February 8, March 8, April 12, and May 5.
Board of Visitors meetings are scheduled for September 23-24, November 18-19, February 9-11, and April 21-22.
