FitWell Classes

Campus Recreation provides Fitness and Wellness (FitWell) classes, which are one-time offerings, led by student and non-student instructors at W&M. FitWell classes include exercise classes, such as yoga, strength training at home, or HIIT, to meditation, art therapy, or tips on sleep and nutrition.

Sarah Balascio is a registered board certified art therapist with a master's degree in education and in art therapy. She is an adjunct lecturer and facilitates groups at the McLeod Tyler Wellness Center here at William & Mary. She offers students the opportunity to express themselves through the arts in a supportive mindful environment. All students are welcome to attend any of the creative arts groups and no experience is necessary just a willingness to experiment!

This class provides cross-training to complement the muscles used in cycling. We work on strength and range of motion for your core and legs that will give you a leg up in cycling. This class also works your back and stretches your chest to address imbalances caused by the seated position on the bike. Alexis is a FitWell Instructor at Campus Recreation.
