Acquia Web Governance
(Formerly known as Acquia Optimize)
Acquia Web Governance accounts are currently only available to Cascade Managers and designated points of contact in the 2025 Cascade Content Cleanup project.
Acquia Web Governance helps you manage and improve your websites. It includes tools for accessibility, quality checks and brand compliance to keep your site consistent, compliant and user-friendly.
Once University Web & Design creates your Acquia Web Governance account, you will receive an email welcoming you to the platform. The email will include a temporary password.
First-Time Login
- Visit login.monsido.com and log in with your email address and temporary password. (Note: Monsido is the platform's former name.)
- Review and accept Acquia Web Governance's privacy terms.
- You will not be prompted to change your temporary password, but it is recommended (see Changing Your Password below).
Changing your Password
- On the top menu bar, select the user icon. The menu expands.
- Select Edit my profile
- On the My Profile page, scroll down to the Change password section. Enter your current password in the Current password field. If you are updating your initial temporary password, paste the password you received in the welcome email.
- Enter your desired password in the New password field and then again in Repeat new password.
- Select Save.
Getting Started
- When you log in, you’ll arrive at your Domain Overview. You can always return to the Domain Overview by selecting the Web Governance logo.
- Select a Domain or Group to open its Dashboard. The Dashboard gives you an overview of your Domain or Group, including the results of the latest scan. You can see or quickly access your overall accessibility score, content policy violations, broken links and more.
- Use the top navigation to access the available modules. For most users, these are Policies, Quality Assurance and Accessibility. You can ignore Data Privacy and Advanced Analytics. Selecting a module lets you view the reports within that module. On desktop, the reports can be accessed from the menu on the left.
Weekly Email Reports
You will receive select reports by email each week when a fresh scan is completed. These reports provide a quick overview of the results and give easy access to view the data in Acquia Web Governance. However, you can also bookmark the Acquia Web Governance website and access the most recent scan data anytime through the Domain Overview.
Tip: From the email reports, if you experience an error when selecting the "Open in Acquia Web Governance" button, you can access them instead by logging into the Acquia Web Governance website directly, selecting your Domain or Group and exploring the Quality Assurance, Policies and Accessibility modules.
Web Browser Extension
The web browser extension lets users quickly view website issues. Detailed installation instructions for Chrome, Edge and Firefox are available in Acquia Web Governance's documentation.
