Looking at William & Mary’s Emission Breakdown by source, the majority of emissions come from Main Campus Purchased Electricity, 47.28%, followed by Stationary Fuels, 38.23%. In FY2022, 82,100,671 kWh of electricity was purchased from Dominion Power, this does not include electricity for property that is leased out. This produced 23,523.62 MTCDE.

Looking at this emission breakdown by scope we can see that Scope 2 emissions account for 56.7% of total emissions. Main Campus electrical emissions is a majority of this.
