Who Can Help?

If you are navigating a membership issue, these departments can provide support or guidance in specific ways. The best first step is to connect with whoever is your group’s primary support – usually your advisor or a campus department that supports you.

Conflict Resolution & Education

CRE is your resource for all things conflict. We're private, voluntary, and flexible to your needs. We work with both org leaders and members in the midst of conflict or drama to promote good communication and better resolutions. We offer: one on one meetings with a student or staff specialist to process, plan for, and respond to conflict; facilitated and mediated conversations to guide challenging conversations between individuals or amongst larger groups. Our office also facilitates the informal resolution process for Title VI complaints, working with all involved parties to tailor a process that fits the situation.

CRE has developed The Student Organization Conflict Toolkit for groups to utilize.

Fraternity/Sorority Life

FSL staff is a great point of contact if you are navigating issues connected to fraternity or sorority membership and/or issues within a chapter.  We can help leaders and members involved with the process by connecting you with chapter advisors & headquarters staff, understanding each person's rights & responsibilities in this process, and facilitate other conversations with chapter leadership. Additionally, we can help leaders know and update organizational documents, understand the chapter's judicial/accountability process, and provide general guidance with these situations.
