ARCHIVED: FY 2025 Arts and Music Envoy
The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) Office of Citizen Exchanges, Cultural Programs Division (ECA/PE/C/CU) is announcing an open competition for the FY 2025 Arts and Music Envoy Program. The application is limited to ONE APPLICANT per institution. Linked interest form must be completed by July 30th.

ARCHIVED: Commonwealth Health Research Board Grant
The Commonwealth Health Research Board was created by Virginia Code to provide financial support for research efforts that have potential of maximizing human health benefits for the citizens of the Commonwealth. Research efforts eligible for support shall include traditional medical and biomedical research relating to the causes and cures of diseases, as well as research related to health services and the delivery of health care.

ARCHIVED: 2025-26 W&M Seed Funding Application
The W&M Seed Funding Research Grant program promotes an increase in total external research funding at W&M. The program is also designed to help W&M faculty establish self-sustaining, independent funding for research. A requirement for awardees in this program is that the proposed work must lead to submission of one or more proposals for follow-on external funding to maintain sustained future efforts. Submissions are due MARCH 7, 2025. Questions about this application should be directed to the Chair of the Faculty Research Committee, Margaret Saha, (mssaha@wm.edu).

ARCHIVED: 2025-26 W&M Faculty Research Application
The goal of this grant is to enhance the standing and reputation of William & Mary by providing faculty members with additional support for their research. We anticipate funding up to 40 one-year awards at $5,000 per award—notification of award and funds availability in mid-March 2025. The deadline to submit is 4 PM on February 17th, 2025.

ARCHIVED: NEA GRANTS FOR ARTS PROJECTS
Grants for Arts Projects (GAP) provides funding for public engagement with the arts and arts education, for the integration of the arts with strategies promoting the health and well-being of people and communities, and for the improvement of overall capacity and capabilities within the arts sector. An organization may submit only one application to the FY 2026 Grants for Arts Projects program (i.e., one application per calendar year). The internal competition closes January 23rd.

ARCHIVED: W&M Internal Competition: Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Awards Program
As a member institution of the ORAU, William & Mary is eligible to put two applicants forward for the “Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Awards Program." These competitive research awards provide seed money for junior faculty members that often result in additional funding from other sources. The award amount provided by ORAU is $5,000. The applicant’s institution is required to match the award with an additional $5,000, which will be provided by the VPR office.

ARCHIVED: NSF Strengthening the Cyberinfrastructure Professionals Ecosystem (SCIPE)
The overarching goal of this solicitation is to democratize access to NSF’s advanced cyberinfrastructure (CI) ecosystem and ensure fair and equitable access to resources, services, and expertise by strengthening how Cyberinfrastructure Professionals (CIP) function in this ecosystem. As part of this award opportunity, only one submission per institution can submit to the NSF for this award. William & Mary will be holding an internal competition for interested applicants to submit materials to be reviewed by FRC. Internal competition closes DECEMBER 2ND.

ARCHIVED: Safety, Security, and Privacy of Open-Source Ecosystems (Safe-OSE)
To respond to the growing threats to the safety, security, and privacy of open-source ecosystems (OSEs), NSF is launching the Safety, Security, and Privacy for Open-Source Ecosystems (Safe-OSE) program. This program solicits proposals from OSEs, including those not originally funded by NSF's Pathways to Enable Open-Source Ecosystems (POSE) program, to address significant safety, security, and/or privacy vulnerabilities, both technical (e.g., vulnerabilities in code and side-channels) and socio-technical (e.g., supply chain, insider threats, and social engineering). Interested applicants should submit the following list of materials via Box (see full announcement) by December 2nd, 2024. ARCHIVED: 2024-25 Competition NEH Humanities Research Centers on Artificial Intelligence
The Humanities Research Centers on Artificial Intelligence program aims to support a more holistic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) in the modern world through the creation of new humanities research centers on artificial intelligence at eligible institutions. As part of this award opportunity, only one applicant per institution can move submit to the NEH for this award. William & Mary will be holding an internal competition for interested applicants to submit materials to be reviewed by FRC. Internal competition closes NOVEMBER 11TH.

ARCHIVED: VA Humanities Fall/Winter Grant Opportunities Available for Internal Submission
There will be no competition offered for ANY grant opportunity from the VA Humanities until the current funded project is closed out in February 2026. The Virginia Humanities (VAH) Grant Program is offering a number of grants for those who work in the humanities field. The institution can only be awarded one of those opportunities at a time. W&M is hosting an internal competition for those who are interested in any of the awards offered by VAH. All internal submissions are due October 17th. ARCHIVED: 2024 NSF Major Research Instrumentation (MRI) Program
The Major Research Instrumentation program supports requests for up to $4 million from NSF for the development or acquisition of multi-user research instruments that are critical to the advancement of science and engineering. Interested applicants should submit the below list of materials via Box file upload by 10/15/2024. Full proposals are due to the NSF by November 15th at 5pm.
