About Oucy

My name is Mingmei Zhang, I go by Oucy, and I’m a student from the class of 2029. I’m from Beijing, China, and I went to high school in New Jersey. I plan on majoring in psychology and minoring in creative writing. For clubs, I currently serve as president of the Chinese Students and Scholars Association, because I believe it’s meaningful to maintain a community that feels like a home away from home for people, but I’m also interested in many other clubs.

I decided to join ISAB because I know how it feels to be abroad alone for the first time in a very different environment, and I want to help all international students through this phase, not just the ones from my own country. I hope they can feel welcomed, supported, relaxed, and eventually find their community at William and Mary.
