Embedded Programs

W&M Embedded Programs are 3-credit semester courses with a short international component incorporated. International trips will be schedule either during winter break, spring break or directly after spring semester ends with students returning before the start of summer session one. Programs and courses are taught by W&M faculty. Grades will appear on the official W&M transcript and will be calculated into the GPA. These programs are eligible for COLL300.

  • To learn more about other W&M Embedded Programs or to apply, please contact [[wmabroad01, wmabroad]]. Embedded Programs are subject to change and may not be offered regularly.
  • The international component for these programs is required for students to receive COLL300.
  • Students who already receive financial aid can use their funding towards these programs. Additional funding for these programs is available and will be awarded based on student need levels.

  • Presents an opportunity to study abroad for a short time period
  • Gives underclassmen an opportunity to study abroad early in their career
  • Provides a high level of support from GEO and the W&M faculty
  • Fulfills the COLL 300 requirement
