Community Councils

Students being welcomed to campus

Pay your Community Dues

Community councils are established in every residential area at the start of the academic year. Anyone living in that area can be a member of the Community Council! Councils meet Atlas bi-weekly and act as a governing board for that area to create connections and provide opportunities for the student voice. Typical functions include setting a budget for the community funds, purchasing equipment, determining rules and guidelines governing common areas both for residents and for outside groups requesting to use residence hall spaces, discussing and offering solutions to problems occurring within the halls, and planning and implementing hall events.

Purpose & Core Values

The purpose of each Community Council is to serve as the governing body for the residents of each area community through representation, community connections, and resolving conflicts by upholding our core values of respect, belonging, self-determination, and freedom of expression.

Community Dues

Community dues are the collective funds provided by the residents living on campus to pay for activities and events planned by Resident Assistants and the Community Council!
