For social distancing, the labs listed below might contain fewer usable machines than indicated. The machines that are NOT usable in these rooms (in-person) have been added as an option in VDI for remote access from home.
Swem Library features a few computer labs:
Swem Information Commons
The Information Commons (IC) on the first floor of Swem Library is home to 20 Dell computers with Dual Monitors and 20 27" iMacs which are available whenever the library is open. A scanner and four duplexing printers are also available in this area.
Swem IC machines include the standard PAC system software.
There are an additional 20 computers, which have dual monitors, in the Learning Center (LC) at the back of the Information Commons. The LC also has a podium machine connected to an overhead LCD projector. Learning Center machines are available nights, weekends, and most hours during the day (whenever there is not a class in the LC). LC machines include standard PAC system software, as well as software specific to this lab.
Swem 2nd Floor & 3rd Floor
The 2nd floor has 14 Dell Computers with Dual Monitors and 3rd floor has 14 Dell computers with Single Monitors and both floors have a duplexing printer.
