Stay in the Loop with IT Service Status Alerts

Did you know William & Mary Information Technology manages a Service Status webpage to inform the campus community of how the systems are functioning on campus? The site provides visitors with a clear view of the status for each IT service, and will even send you a notification when the services you use the most are down.

The IT department encourages students, faculty and staff to subscribe to the Service Status page to receive notifications regarding campus outages and/or maintenance. To subscribe, visit itstatus.wm.edu and click “Subscribe” in the top right corner of the screen. From there, choose your preferred method of notifications you would like to receive.

The Service Status page also shows upcoming maintenance that’s planned on IT services based on the type of system, ranging from the wireless network to data and research computing.

Types of alerts on the Service Status Website:

  • Green circle: the system is working properly.
  • Yellow circle: there is an issue with the service.
  • Red circle: there is an outage in the system.

If you have additional issues with services that cannot be resolved by checking the Service Status page, please contact the Technology Support Center at support@wm.edu or 757-221-HELP. The Technology Support Center is open Monday-Friday from 8am to 5pm.
