Objective 1
Develop a robust set of metrics (KPIs) for the university
Strategies 2025
- Cultivate a culture of accountability aligned with W&M's mission, vision and values
- Complete cyclical comprehensive staff salary studies and benchmark progress
- Activate the Climate Action Roadmap and Campus Master Plan to achieve W&M's sustainability goals
- Modernize campus dining, dorms, classrooms, and other learning and workspaces so that students, faculty and staff flourish
- Incentivize collaboration across units for whole-institution priorities
- Continue to identify the areas within our facilities that are not ADA compliant and redress barriers
Milestones 2023-2025
- KPI Dashboard for university goals completed
- Provost Data Initiative fully implemented for all faculty activities by Spring 2025
- Via Campus Comprehensive Plan:
- ADA compliance and signage in new facilities as they come online
- Climate Action energy goals advanced via geothermal installation
- Phase I Housing & Dining will be completed by 2026
- Cross-campus collaborations in Vision 2026 pillars are fully underway for all pillars

Create a culture of evaluation and continuous improvement for administrators and senior leaders

- Cabinet succession-planning workshop, spring 2025
- Cabinet professional development (Antisemitism, First Generation and Title IX)
- Cabinet leadership rotations piloted spring 2025
- Professional development days for all employees
- Comprehensive policy revisions to date: Faculty Handbook; Student conduct violations; Fitness for Duty

Sustain and increase university-wide efforts designed to amplify and potentially secure gifts, grants and opportunities to advance goals

- Align fundraising with data on student and employee success (e.g., tutoring investments and uptake)
- Focus on Alumni networking and retraining opportunities in the greater DC area

- New Alumni Retraining Funds via Alumni Association
- Raymond A. Mason School of Business scholarship for mid-career transition of former federal employees
