About Cameron
Prior to joining the William & Mary Washington Center as a Program Assistant, Cameron Nelson earned his Master's Degree in Strategic Communication from George Washington University’s School of Media and Public Affairs. While pursuing his degree in Washington D.C., Cameron would contribute to the work of SKDK and the national office of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Upon graduating, Cameron was recruited into the campaign circuit to support a coordinated campaign of Virginia Candidates in the state’s 2023 off-year elections. As a Senior Field Organizer, Cameron and his fellow campaign workers would successfully elect twenty-two candidates into state and local offices.
Prior to this, he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Media Communication from Southwestern University, in his home state of Texas. As a Program Assistant at the Washington Center, Cameron manages the D.C. Semester Program in the Fall and Spring terms.
