Study Abroad

William & Mary offers hundreds of study abroad program options in more than 55 countries. Almost 60% of undergraduates study abroad during the course of their time at W&M, ranking first among public universities in the nation. You can participate in a wide range of programs that span the globe, and courses can be used to fulfill the COLL 300 requirement while doing so. 

The Global Education Office (GEO) at the Reves Center for International Studies coordinates all study abroad programs. Search their Study Abroad site to find programs, connect with global education advisors and for information on fees, applications, and courses.

Explore Study Abroad Opportunities

You will have access to faculty-led short-term programs in summer and winter, sponsored-semester programs, exchange and direct enrollment at universities abroad, embedded semester programs, and specialized thematic programs. Many programs also include research, community-based service learning, and international credit-bearing internships. Students across all majors study abroad regularly.

Funding

In order to make study abroad accessible to students, GEO annually awards more than $700,000 for study abroad scholarships. In addition, financial aid is generally portable.
