Faculty Funding Opportunities
Listed below are various sources of funding available from A&S to support faculty research, curricular innovation, co-curricular engagement with students, and department/program development activities.
Faculty Grants Fund
- Individual or small group research projects and/or events
- Conference travel
- Other faculty professional development opportunities
- Student hourly wages that are related to a specific research project

Open Inquiry Awards
- Provide support for faculty efforts which promote open inquiry of diverse experiences and perspectives in existing or new non-COLL courses (up to $300)
- Curricular efforts may include but are not limited to, expenses or honoraria related to course guests, professional development opportunities for faculty members, costs of course-related site visits, purchase of course materials.
- Recipients can be any full-time faculty teaching an undergraduate or graduate course

COLL Innovation Grants for Faculty
- Mini-grants for design and implementation of COLL courses (up to $1,000)
Faculty Innovation Grants
The Charles Center
- Mini-grants for co-curricular activities with students in non-COLL courses (up to $500)
- Guest lectures in non-COLL courses (up to $1,000)
- May Seminars - designed to support faculty collaboration around specific curriculum development or teaching improvement objectives.

Work with your Chair or Program Director to contact your Vice Dean for possible funding for:
- Department/Program development initiatives not listed above
- Speakers, guests, or other event-based funding not supported by options above
