Workday Learning Is Coming Soon – What You Need to Know

Summary

This new platform will replace Cornerstone Learning and become the central hub for employee training, professional development and required learning at W&M.

Full Description

Significant progress is underway in Phase II of the Workday implementation at William & Mary. The first major milestone in this phase is just around the corner with Workday Learning officially launching on February 23! This new platform will replace Cornerstone Learning and become the central hub for employee training, professional development and required learning at W&M.
Key Dates:
  • February 23: Workday Learning goes live for all employees.
  • March 1: Cornerstone Learning is disabled for all employees.
After Cornerstone Learning is disabled, you will no longer be able to view past learning content or complete training in Cornerstone. Please ensure that all required trainings in Cornerstone are completed by March 1.
Any trainings that are “In Progress” at the time Cornerstone is disabled cannot be migrated to Workday. If the course is available in Workday Learning, you will need to re‑enroll in Workday to complete it.
While learning history from the past five years is expected to transfer into Workday Learning by April 1, we strongly recommend that all users download and save a copy of their Cornerstone transcript for personal records as a precaution.
You will still be able to log in to Cornerstone, but access will be limited to Performance content only.
How to Save Your Cornerstone Transcript:
  • Log in to Cornerstone Learning before March 1.
What to Expect from Workday Learning:
  • One place for everything: Learning is integrated directly into Workday so no separate logins or extra navigation.
  • Cleaner, more intuitive interface: Finding courses, tracking progress, and completing training is simpler and more user-friendly.
  • Mobile friendly experience: Complete training on your phone or tablet with ease.
  • Personalized learning recommendations: Workday suggests courses based on your role, interests, and required training.
  • Realtime visibility into your progress: You can quickly see what’s assigned, what’s due, and what you’ve completed.time visibility into your progress
  • Streamlined compliance training: Required courses will be easier to access and complete, reducing confusion and missed deadlines.
More details on training and resources will be shared before go-live. Training sessions—both in-person and remote—will take place the week of the 23rd. Visit W&M Events to learn more and register.
Thank you for your patience and partnership.
