Elections

Staff Assembly is a 24-member organization that represents the interests of ALL Operational, Classified, and Hourly (non-student) employees at William & Mary. Members are elected by their peers to promote staff interests, relay staff concerns, and encourage actions that can address the current and future needs of the W&M community. Nominees must be Operational, Classified or Hourly (non-student) employees of the university. Midterm elections are held in the fall semester. General elections are held in the spring semester. Announcements are typically communicated using the Digest. For more information, contact Staff Assembly at staffassembly@wm.edu

Officer Elections

Staff Assembly Officer elections take place during our May monthly meeting. Any current or newly elected senator is encouraged to nominate themselves or a colleague by emailing Staff Assembly. There are 5 offices to be filled: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Social Media Coordinator. Nominees will each have 2 minutes to introduce themselves to their fellow senators and say why they are interested in running for office.

If you have any questions about an office, you may set up a meeting with the person currently holding the position. The list of current officers is on the Staff Assembly website: https://www.wm.edu/sites/staffassembly/directory/index.php. A description of each position can be found at https://www.wm.edu/sites/staffassembly/about/board/index.php.
