Events
The Graduate Council regularly puts on four main events during the year, with other events depending on the year.
Grad Bash (Twice a Year)
Once each semester, we host Grad Bash, a fun event with music, food, and drinks, see below for the most recent flyers. We try to have a different theme every semester, some of the recent ones have been Once Upon a Time (Spring 2023), Red Carpet (Fall 2022), '70s/Flower Power (Spring 2022), and Outer Space (Fall 2021). Ticket price is usually around $20. These events also require guests to bring their own reusable cup if they wish to drink anything, and those who wish to have alcohol must bring a valid, government issued ID (which indicates they are over 21).
Night at the Muscarelle
Grad council hosts a semi-formal wine and cheese event for graduate students at the Muscarelle Museum of Art. Enjoy the exhibits of the art museum for the evening while dressed to the nines!
Bell Ringing
Grad council hosts a small reception for graduate students in the courtyard of the Wren Building after graduating students ring the bell! Light fare and champagne are provided for graduates.
