Tack Faculty Lecture Series

Celebrating William & Mary’s intellectual life.

The Tack Faculty Lecture Series is a newer W&M tradition that enables the university and local communities to come together to celebrate both faculty excellence and the intellectual liveliness of the university. Through this series, a William & Mary professor addresses the community on a topic of general interest at least once a semester.

This series gives everyone the opportunity to take part in the William & Mary experience. It showcases some of our most engaging professors and is an opportunity for all members of the Tribe and beyond to take part in our relentless pursuit of knowledge.

Spring 2023 Lecture

Dan Runfola, associate professor of applied science and data science at William & Mary, gave the university’s spring 2023 Tack Faculty Lecture on May 2 at Sadler Center Commonwealth Auditorium. His lecture, “Everything Is AI-awesome: Rise of the Machines,” explored the future of artificial intelligence and the radical changes that AI promises to bring to the world as we know it.
