Opportunities
Three Distinct Funding Opportunities
The Art & Science Exchange (ASE) supports bold, interdisciplinary collaborations that promote the power and interplay between art and science, foster collaboration among researchers across W&M schools and the intellectual community beyond and encourage innovative approaches to developing knowledge for the public good.
Art & Science Exchange Showcase Award
Up to $20,000 | Four awards per cycle
These competitive awards support interdisciplinary teams whose work will be featured in a week-long public Art & Science Exchange Spring Showcase. Projects should exemplify innovation, public engagement and cross-disciplinary synergy. Awardees will present their work through performances, exhibitions, talks or workshops designed to spark dialogue across academic and creative communities. All proposals are subject to internal review by a cross-disciplinary committee drawn from across the university. Projects are evaluated based on their alignment with strategic priorities, commitment to inclusive excellence, clarity in articulating how participating disciplines complement and enhance one another, originality, opportunities for student leadership and skill development, and potential for scalability.
