Class registrations open on Mondays and close on Fridays. You will receive an email from the American Red Cross on how to begin the online portion of the class. A second instructional email will go out the following Monday. It will include deadline information, a link for scheduling your in-person session, and information on when your certificate will be available. Be sure to note the completion deadline. You must complete both the online and the in-person portions to be certified. You must sign-up for in-person sessions the Friday before. Certifications will not be valid until after the course completion deadline.
Certification fee: $40
*Campus Recreation Staff required to have Safety Training are paid for by Campus Recreation
Missed or incomplete Certification Policy:
If you fail to sign-up for or miss your in-person session or do not complete your certification in full within the scheduled time frame, you will be charged a $40 no-show fee.
