Deleting

Things to Consider Before Deleting

  • When you delete a folder, all of its content will be deleted as well.
  • You should first check for internal relationships to individual pages and files to help avoid broken links.
  • Cascade cannot determine for you if there are any external links to the page or file.
  • After you delete a page in a listing folder (directory pages, news stories, etc.), publish the index page in that folder, to ensure it is properly updated.
  • After you delete a folder that appears in your page menus, publish its parent folder to ensure all impacted page menus are properly updated.
  • For documents and images you can download it so save an offline copy, if needed — select the file, select the ...More menu and select Download.
  • For pages you can Print to PDF to save an offline copy, if needed.
