IACUC Committee

According to OLAW (Office of Laboratory Animal Welfare), the IACUC membership must consist of at least 5 members that include:

One Veterinarian with training or experience with lab animal science and medicine, who has direct or delegated authority and responsibility for activities involving animals at William & Mary
One practicing scientist experienced in research with animals
One member whose primary concerns are in a non-scientific area (ethicist, clergy, lawyer)
One member who is not affiliated with the university in any way other than as a member of the IACUC.

William & Mary has a properly constituted IACUC.
