In Case of Emergency

We hope that you have a rewarding and safe experience while studying abroad but know that sometimes emergency situations can arise.

In the event of an emergency, please contact your on-site study abroad program director and W&M for assistance.

W&M’s Emergency Contact Information
  1. The Global Education Office at the Reves Center
    (757) 221-3594 (Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm EST)
  2. Campus Police: (757) 221-4596
(Anytime – please let them know you are a study abroad student)

Please note that for a medical emergency, seek medical treatment as quickly as possible. You do not need insurance pre-approval.

We recommended that you keep Embassy or Consulate information inside your wallet for reference. You should also have a photocopy or scanned copy of the information page of your passport stored separately from it; this makes replacing a lost or stolen passport simple and fast.

The Department of State Crisis Abroad Website also has important emergency information for travelers.
