Marketing & Communications Request Form Guidelines
University Marketing and University Communications advance William & Mary’s reputation, mission and strategic priorities by leading university-wide communications, creative strategy, brand management and event production. We collaborate with partners across the university to amplify the voices of students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and friends, engaging both internal and external audiences. Guided by excellence, innovation and purpose, we strengthen the university’s story and its impact.
Do you need to submit a form?
To provide faster and more efficient services, there is now one centralized request form to intake all new marketing, communications and event-related requests. Every request, no matter the scope and size, requires a submitted request form to be considered.
You should submit this form if you are requesting support related to:
- Marketing or communications strategy
- Design, writing, photography, video, web, email, social media or brand guidance
- Event planning, production or consultation
- Signature, high-visibility or institutionally supported events
- Questions about event logistics, timelines or feasibility
Due to the volume of requests received, not all requests can be fulfilled. If we are unable to support your request, we will work with you to identify alternative solutions.
How do I request a photo or brand assets?
Our new brand hub is your go-to resource for William & Mary brand information, materials and guidelines. If you need a logo, colors or more information about our brand, this is your one-stop shop.
If you need a photo, you can now go to Canto to find and download the images you need. If you are looking for a department logo, lockup or other branded assets, you can also download the file from Canto.
Canto is W&M’s digital asset management (DAM) system that makes it easy to find, preview and download official photography and select brand assets that are curated for use across the university. Canto serves as a secure distribution platform, not long-term storage, with access available via W&M Single Sign-On.
How do I request web support?
To help streamline questions or support requests for Cascade, W&M Events, W&M News, Slate or other web systems managed by University Marketing and University Communications, campus will now submit the request form. Please note, current Cascade and W&M Events editors within the Batten School & VIMS, Business School, College of Arts & Sciences, CDSP, Law School and School of Education will continue to contact their managers directly for support.
For additional questions or project requests, please submit the request form.
