Are you leaving William & Mary? We are sad to see you go, but excited for the adventure that lies ahead of you. With this move, comes a lot of questions about what happens next. While we don't know where your next steps may take you, we can tell you what will happen with your access to W&M IT services after you leave the university.
(This list applies to anyone who has recently departed W&M and alumni that graduated after 2007. If you graduated prior to 2007, contact the Technology Support Center for details.)
If you had a degree conferred from the university, you will continue to have access to your WMApps account indefinitely. This applies to all WMApps services, such as email and Google Drive.
Note: Beginning May 21st, 2019 WMApps will be moving to CAS Single Sign-On. After that time, your WMuserid password must be updated annually to maintain access to web-based services. Find details on the WMApps - New CAS Login announcement.
If you are leaving the university without a degree, will have access to your WMApps account for 8 months after your last class.
If you had a degree conferred from the university, you will be able to use Banner after you leave W&M. Please note that your WMuserid password will expire annually and you will receive notifications to change your password via email.
If you are leaving the university without a degree, will have access to Banner for 8 months after your last class.
Blackboard will expire 8 months after your last class at W&M.
You will be able to use the W&M licensed version of Microsoft Office until 8 months after your last class at W&M. After this time period, you will only be able to use Microsoft Office as a read-only program. To continue to create and edit documents, you may purchase Microsoft Office.
Home Drive (H: Drive)
Your H: Drive (for on-campus file storage) will also expire 8 months after your last class at W&M. Make sure to move your files to another storage service (like Google Drive in your WMApps account) before the service expires!
