Katlen Quintero Chavez grew up in Danville, Virginia, where there are many green areas. Living a short car ride away from mountain trails, Katlen's interest in conservation came from being surrounded by nature most of the time, where Katlen would sit near trees in the woods or go to the mountains for quick day trips with family. Katlens hobbies include drawing, crafts, and listening to music.
