COLL 200 Assessment Report Summary

COLL 200 ASSESSMENT FALL 2024

  • IAE asked all faculty members teaching a COLL 200 course in fall 2024 to submit a course portfolio for each of their courses.  One portfolio for cross-listed sections and multiple sections of a single course taught by a single faculty member. 
  • 160 sections, 127 courses, 136 instructors, 147 portfolios requested, 101 portfolios submitted (68.7%)
  • Portfolio status: 95 rated (65%), 6 not rated/incomplete (4%), 46 not submitted (31%)

Student Learning ExpectationsWhat the faculty expects students to learn and be able to do in COLL 200 courses (developed and vetted in 2016-17):

  1. Master basic ideas and methods central to the primary knowledge domain(s).
    • Ideas and Concepts: demonstrate command of concepts and ideas of the domain.
    • Methods: describe or apply methodology and theoretical frameworks
  2. Make coherent and meaningful interconnections across the academic domains.
