2026 Graduate Research Symposium

February 26-27, 2026

The Graduate Research Symposium, hosted by the Graduate Center, will take place in the Sadler Center, February 26-27 (Thursday and Friday). This distinctive event encourages interdisciplinary exchange, bringing together students from across research disciplines at William & Mary with graduate scholars from other universities. The Symposium highlights the interdisciplinarity and connection found within our community of researchers.

Schedule of Events (subject to change)

Thursday, February 26

  • Research Talks, 9:00-5:00 (1-hour concurrent sessions)
  • Coffee, tea, and snacks available all day
  • Journal Club, 5:30-7:00
    • Journal Club brings together graduate students from the College of Arts & Sciences and the School of Computing, Data Science, and Physics at William & Mary for weekly research presentations in a lively, friendly environment fueled by free pizza and beer. We invite all symposium presenters to join us for a very special Journal Club.
Friday, February 27
  • Research Talks, 9:00-12:30 (1-hour concurrent sessions)
  • Coffee, tea, and snacks available all day
  • Lunch break, 12:30-1:30
  • Research Award Winners' Panel, 1:30-3:00
  • Poster Session & Networking Reception, 3:00-5:00 p.m.

Fee-free Event

There are no fees to participate in the Graduate Research Symposium. However, presenters are responsible for any travel-related expenses, as well as costs associated with printing research posters for presentation.
