Balance Refunds

Eligible refunds will be processed in Spring 2026 for accounts with balances of $10.01 or more. View the information below for any steps you may need to take to process your refund based on your campus population.

Eligible balances will be applied to your student account after the program ends in December 2025. If your account currently has a charge due then this will be applied towards that amount. If you do not have a pending charge or the amount of the refund is more than the amount of the charge, it will appear as a credit.

Please sign up for direct deposit (the preferred method of the Bursar's Office) in eServices to receive your W&M Express Card refund faster and more securely. Login to eServices through Banner self-serve and choose the 'Refunds' option at the top of the screen or choose 'Electronic Refunds' under 'My Profile Setup' to provide your bank information. You can find more information about refunds here. Without direct deposit, please allow 7–9 business days for the check to be delivered by the postal service. The checks will be sent to the address on file with the university.

Track your current Express balance on tribecard.wm.edu and make a plan to spend down your remaining funds by the dates above. Be sure to select "Student/Staff login" from the left hand menu and sign in for the most up-to-date account activity.
