Commonwealth of Virginia Engineering & Science (COVES) Summer Fellowship
The COVES Fellowship is a 12-week, full-time summer fellowship program operated by the Virginia Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine and open to STEM graduate students at William & Mary, VIMS, and other research universities in Virginia. During the program, fellows receive training in science policy and communication, spend time in legislative offices, executive agencies, companies or nonprofits in the state, and are paired with a mentor. Fellows are also involved in briefings, meetings, and annual summit in August. The program begins with a week-long bootcamp on science policy, governance, and policymaking in Virginia.
