Resources

We offer a number of resources to access the power of GIS tools and the geospatial community. Our resources can start with help from our faculty and also includes software and hardware access.  

The CGA offers:

  • expert knowledge in geospatial technologies such as GIS, GPS, Remote Sensing, LiDAR, Orthoimagery, Satellite Imagery,  UAS/UAV and Spatial Analysis
  • guest lectures about creating spatial data or creating your first StoryMap
  • assistance in planning research, class activities or other spatial analysis needs
  • access to existing geospatial software 
  • software suggestions for broad and niche projects 
  • equipment lending (e.g. GPS units and iPads for data collection)
  • assistance with geospatial hardware purchases related to research, teaching, and university business
  • advice on data sets, data structures and data access. 

While we take walk-in's in our office, we suggest if you make an in-person or Zoom appointment by emailing cga@wm.edu
